Beames Capital Partner Hugo de Jong was the lead investor in Learning Vault’s first equity round. He then orchestrated their first debt round when revenue became more stable.

Hugo now sits on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Nivato was founded in 2018 to provide a marketplace and management platform for support workers and plan participants in Australia’s National Disability Insurance Scheme, the NDIS. The NDIS offers $22 billion in funding a year to an estimated 500,000 Australians aged under 65, who have a permanent and significant disability.

When launched in late 2019, Nivato will connect those seeking support with those providing support. The platform will then be made available to customers in the aged home care sector.

Recstra is the next generation of recruitment and HR, offering a full-service platform for organisations of all sizes to manage their recruitment and HR needs. In turn, independently engaged professional recruitment and HR Consultants provide the services working the hours they chose. 

Recstra was founded in 2016 in Melbourne, Australia offering work to Consultants on a fixed hourly rate. Recstra provides the work through its marketplace and charges customers a fixed price per project or per hour. Version 2.0 of Recstra's app is due for release in mid-2019. In early 2019 the company began offering its platform in the UK, and is on track to launch in the UK, Japan, China and US.

MyMy is an ASEAN-based fintech focused on digitising financial services and increasing financial inclusion.

Launching as ASEAN’s first challenger bank and the world’s first Shariah compliant challenger bank, MyMy’s technology includes a highly scalable, banking-grade multi-currency digital wallet and scheme-issued card designed to give a vastly better customer experience at a material reduction of the cost of existing banking solutions.

Prior to his tenure with Beames Capital, Hugo co-founded MyMy and continues to sit on the company’s advisory board three years into operation.

Rounded is an Australian SaaS platform designed for and used by freelancers and sole traders. Founded in 2015, the company’s technology addresses the global problem of sole traders, freelancers and small businesses not having accounting software designed specifically for their needs.

Rounded has grown to include customers in many different sectors including creative, trade, consulting and medical. The app is available globally with tax and banking functionality available in Australia and New Zealand, with more countries to come.

As a Co-Founder, Beames Capital Partner Nicholas Beames funded the angel round then contributed to the A-Round. Nicholas now sits on the Board as an Executive Director.

We invested in the Seed investment round in 2015, then again in the A-Round in 2017 and are current investors.

Founded in 2018, Sami enables freelancers, sole traders and small businesses to purchase easy-to-understand, fixed-price insurance in less than 90-seconds at an unbeatable price. Sami is set for its Australian launch in mid-2019 and has built as an automated platform with global use.

Kitfit is evolving the way the world shops by personalising product discovery using the experience and expertise of the global community. The company addresses the global challenge of ‘misfit’ - a by-product of which is high return volumes and category abandonment.

The company’s technology allows the end user to find products that are fit for purpose (and them!) faster and with more accuracy.

Beames Capital Partner Hugo de Jong led Kitfit’s second equity round which gave the company the funds to launch and scale rapidly.

Hugo now sits on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Founded by Robin Doenicke in 2003, Zensho Agency is revolutionising the way Japanese companies engage recruitment professionals, and the way those recruitment professionals offer and provide their professional services.

In 2006 Beames Capital Partner, Nicholas Beames, founded Australia's best-in-class fintech payroll and billing SaaS app, Astute Payroll. Over 10 years Nicholas and his team grew it into a public company called Astute One Limited. Nicholas successfully exited the company in 2016, and in 2019 it was wholly acquired by listed company PayGroup Limited (ASX:PYG).

As at November 2019, the group was generating $17.5m in ARR and paying 4.7m payslips annually.
